The tears blurred the figure
Which lay battered and motionless.
The blood oozing out of its ears
Like a waterfall
It's skin splattered with bruises blue and black
A silent scream escaped her mouth
As she recognised her super hero
Whose flying cape had been cut off
A wave of memory flashed through her
The reminder of a promise made by a little girl
No matter what I will face it with a smile
She had promised to her superhero
A feeling of numbness exploded within her
Giving her the strength she needed
To face  life with a smile
